Departamento do Trabalho dos Estados Unidos

O Departamento do Trabalho dos Estados Unidos (DOL) é um gabinete do governo federal encarregado de garantir a produtividade, os direitos e a segurança dos trabalhadores dos EUA. Sob a direção do Secretário do Trabalho dos EUA, o DOL administra mais de 180 leis federais.

A DOL, o Bureau de Estatísticas do Trabalho é a principal agência de busca de fatos do governo federal em relação ao trabalho, economia e estatísticas, coletando e fornecendo dados sobre emprego, salários, inflação e produtividade, assim como estatísticas sobre questões de segurança e saúde no local de trabalho.

A DOL foi fundada em 1913 quando o Departamento de Comércio e Trabalho criado pelo Presidente Theodore Roosevelt foi dividido em dois órgãos reguladores pelo Presidente William Howard Taft. A partir deste escrito, os  escritórios principais dentro do DOL são:
